If you guys can’t tell already.. I loveeeee cheese!!! 🙂 And there is a hidden gem right in 626 for not only cheese lovers, but also for most of us who love old fashion, good ole’ macaroni and cheese from childhood. 🙂 Can anyone guess what it is?! It’s Melt It! A Grilled Cheese Co., Pasadena, CA. The combination of macaroni and cheese and grilled sandwiches is genius! Grilled sandwiches is another childhood favorite for most of us, yes?! If you guys haven’t tried this place yet, you must! This restaurant has many types of grilled sandwiches and even seasonal specials that are temporarily on the menu depending the time of the year.

But first off, let’s start with some starters.. and yes, I went naughty with this one 😉

beer battered fries – as tasty as they are as bad for your health but once in a while is okay right? 😀 I, for one, HATE beer, but these actually tasted pretty good! The fries were perfectly fried with the essence and super mild smell of beer in it. Very chewy fries. And served with mystery sauce.. They wouldn’t tell us what it was! But my guess is mild srirarcha mayonnaise sauce? 😀

the cheesiest mac n cheese with pulled pork – this is my favorite from this place! Can you imagine grilled cheese as a grilled sandwich?! *gasps* and added pulled pork that was tender and stringy was over the top! Not only that, but the macaroni and cheese was PERFECTLY made! And super cheesy too 🙂

philly “grilled cheese” steak sandwich – steak, caramelized onions, grilled bell peppers topped with provolone cheese on french roll – how many of you guys like philly cheese steaks? I don’t know anyone who doesn’t! This is just like your average philly cheese steak with extra cheese on top!

the cheesiest mac and cheese – their traditional grilled cheese sandwich! Just like the pulled pork without the pork served with sourdough bread. Basic taste after I’ve tried all the others, but still yummy!! It makes eating macaroni and cheese more fun because of the extra toasty carbs from the sandwiches 🙂

sweet carolina – pulled pork braised, and red cabbage cole slaw, BBQ sauce on toasted french roll (the red cabbage gave the perfect light tanginess and crispness to the overall sandwich

the pizza melt – who doesn’t love pizza?! pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. Yummm

OKAY.. so now onto the.. DESSERTTTT round! I know right?! Grilled cheese themed sandwiches can be served as desserts too?! I never would have thought of..

nutella sandwich – this. was. so. delicious. served HOT and FRESH. The warm, sticky, sweet texture of the nutella contrasted perfectly with the toasty texture of the fried sandwich

deep-fried peanut butter & jelly – AND THIS IS THEIR ALL TIME #1 SELLER!!!! That’s riiight.. PB&J sandwich FRIED. Also served hot and fresh. I don’t need to say no more.. You guys can imagine and drool about the rest. 😉
