Happy Monday guys! I hope work is all going well for you and no one is still suffering from a weekend hangover.. Haha, but if you are.. I think I just might have a solution! I think most of us already know that coffee helps with hangovers, and indeed, most of us order straight up coffee the next morning from just about anywhere. Hell, I notice that even at restaurants after enjoying a nice glass of wine or two in the evening, the waiters always, always ask us if we want tea or coffee.. because well.. you know, it helps prevent (or fix) the hangover effects of alcohol and helps us start to sober up right away too! So what’s so special about this place I’m about to talk about? Well.. not only do they have a designated unique coffee invention for hangover cures, but they also specialize in many different TYPES of coffee as you will soon see.. this place is called The Combine Kitchen, Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
more fat coffee – Yes, that’s what it’s called.. just “more fat.” Made with 2oz of grass-fed butter, 2oz of coconut oil with cinnamon, and 8oz of batch brew, this coffee may sound nasty in its name itself, but tastes pretty darn good! It isn’t as fatty as it sounds; in fact, it feels better to drink fat for some reason.. maybe cause with fat comes sodium? Either way, the butter is GRASS-FED and this is the type of drink where you just must try it to know what I’m talking about. 😀
nitro cold brew – 12 or 16 oz nitro-infused cold brew. Raise your hand if you like cold brew! Well, this is nitro-infused! And hey, admit it, the nitrogen infusion “show” prior to making our alcoholic drink or ice cream is pretty entertaining! Why not with coffee also? Plus, it gives it more of a refreshing kick!
mellow yellow – 4oz almond milk and 2oz tumeric + ginger. This tastes SO GOOD and feels so HEALTHY to drink! While this isn’t a hangover cure itself, it does have a lot of ginger. However, the almond milk and the tumeric takes away most of the bitterness from the ginger. Hence, healthy coffee? 🙂 Milky, smooth, and warm too!
hangover cure – 2oz expresso and 5oz beef broth. NOW THIS ONE IS THE ONE I AM TALKING ABOUT. How many of you guys love to eat pho after? Almost all of us do right?! The fatty broth and the sodium just makes us feel better. What if you don’t have time to sit down and enjoy a good bowl of pho? Here is your replacement! Can take it on the go and drink it up real fast. Actually, why are there two cups?! It’s actually meant to be taken like a shot and then the chaser to follow… So gobble down that 2oz of expresso and chase it with the beef broth.. Now there’s your replenishment of fat and sodium that you’ve depleted yourself from yacking your brains out! Amen!
Does this place only serve coffee? I mean c’mon, how are you gonna maintain business?! Don’t worry! This place also serves tea and brunch-y items too! In fact, their teas are brewed in these fancy, glass teapots that seem to hang in the air?! CHECK IT OUT IF YOU’RE CURIOUS!
our “home fries” – “fingerling potatoes fried to golden and tossed in rosemary salt” I think these are the most “wanted” from this place. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s so good! The crispy-ness and the flavors hit the spot just right! Crunchy may I add 😉
green steak and eggs – “skirt steak, sunny side up organic free-range egg served on a thick grilled garlic toast with salsa verde and arugula salad tossed in lemon vinaigrette.” Green eggs and ham?! Sure, I want green steak and eggs! You can’t tell but the steak underneath is green.. but man I wish my eggs were green too!
yolk and shrooms – “mushrooms, fontina cheese sauce served on a grilled thick garlic toast topped with a soft poached egg and parsley salad” Everyone loves these!!! Warning may I add: they might have a slight odor to it that’s mushroom-y, but if you love mushrooms, who cares?! It’s pretty good, but eat it fast before the sauce makes the toast all mushy!
Thanks for reading again! Hope you all enjoyed yet another post 🙂 Happy Monday again! <3
