Have you ever waited so long for something that you got grumpy, mad, irritated, annoyed, and just so hungry at the world?! I’ve notoriously waited long lines and long waits for boba or food or shopping, but for some reason, this was the absolutely most horrifying 3-hour wait in my entire life. And I was mad. But.. Have you ever waited so long for something to the point when you get mad at the world and swear to just eat fast and never think about coming back again?! I have.. but my mind was instantly changed the moment I tasted what this place is notoriously known for.. and why the wait is so long.. and why everyone even waited.. and why there is barely any dead hour in all of the 24 hours this place stays open.. BE-CAUSE it is.. just so darn good.. that I actually would come back.. Sigh…
This place is just THAT good.. You guys.. Please go to Oyster Bar in Las Vegas, NV. Because it is worth it!
Just so that you guys can get a sense of the atmosphere of the place.. This is what it consists of.. A bunch of these stewing pots where they make their notoriously FAMOUS PAN ROASTS!!! We will talk about it later… Save the best for last right? 😀 Please don’t skip and scroll down to the end! HAHA But everyone pretty much sits around this “kitchen bar” like how you would at a bar, but instead of a bartender serving you drinks, it’s a chef cooking you pan roasts.. mmMmm That’s even better IMO 😀
cold seafood combination – Whenever I eat seafood, I always like to start my palate with some rawness! Raw oysters, raw clams, and raw shrimps! I apologize, but I don’t remember which waters these were from exactly.. But these are seasonable so depending on the time of the year! I know many of you guys have eaten raw oysters, but have you tried raw clams?! They’re not as common but they’re just as good, if not better than oysters and softer too!
bouillabaisse – classic french stew with onions, celery, shrimp, crab, and lobster. This soup was delicious! The broth was tasted exactly like soup with a thinner, liquid-y sustenance! There were HUGE chunks of soft, stringy crab and mini lobster tails inside! What a delight! I love it when places don’t skimp on the seafood meat. This place was so generous!!! 🙂 And with any bouillabaisse comes with a huge variety of seafood in it as you can see! My favorite part is when the little, itsy, bitsy, tiny fragments from the meats falls off and just blends with the soup base so that when I drink the soup, it has so much sustenance and flavor and texture.
seafood pan roast – fresh seafood sauteed with brandy, cream and tomato; served with steamed rice. OKAY IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE MUCH! But looks can be deceiving and they ARE in this case!! (Steamed rice now shown). But this was so delicious that my mouth is watering at this very instant while I am writing this. It is just so good! Everything that I described about the bouillabaisse, but even BETTER. This pan roast is a thick and creamy soup filled with all the flavors of the seashells of the waters of the oceans. The soup tasted like seafood and was rich in seafood! There was was crab, shrimp and lobster! Big, heaping chunks of crab, lumpo jumpo size shrimps, and many mini lobster tails! Also, if you love cream of tomato soup, you will LOVEEEEE this! It is way better! The combination of seafood and tomato hits just the right spot in your tummy that you never knew existed! Again, I love it when the individual crab hairs fall off from the main crab chunks and just mix with the creamy soup together so that it becomes the soup’s “pulp.” This pan roast is just simply mouth-watering and no words can do justice! You just must try it!
So.. how you eat it is you take spoonfuls of rice and dump it in the pan roast and just eat it little by little.. Or at least that’s how I did it because I wasn’t sure how much rice I could stomach and didn’t want to overload my pan roast with too much rice that I cannot finish! I couldn’t finish.. but it was GOOD as leftovers!! Did I also mention that a lot of people also put out extra orders to take home too? You can’t do phone orders, but so many people wait so long to eat here that by the time it is their turn, they order to eat AND to take home.
And now I am hungry!! Ugh!! Time to go eat! 🙂 Or drive to Vegas now so that I can eat the pan roast again! Haha 😀 Who wants to come?? <3
