mmMmm and who doesn’t like the D?! The name of this restaurant caught my eye and attention walking the city walks of San Diego in CA. This place is called the D Bar. I was like.. What? Huh? What is this place about? Let’s walk inside and see what it’s about!!! And oh boy, I did not regret it!! I love this place!! Fortunately for me and unfortunately for you, D Bar closed this past December 2015! 🙁 So I’ve decided to blog about this place because I want to share it with you!!
And why!!!! So the owner of this restaurant is Keegan Gerhard. Please tell me you guys know who he is!! He is a well known chef who has gained acclaim in the Food Network industry. But apparently he closed this place to focus on his flagship D Bar location in Denver. This makes me want to go to Denver because I still have so many dishes in mind I want to try!!
But if you guys are curious, let’s “eat” at the D Bar with me now!!
a citrus-y orange mojito drink! Very sweet and refreshing 🙂 Perfect drink for ladies and men to sip on!
the rastafarian, a pretty reggae-color themed rum drink with a pineapple slice to top! It’s so colorful! And makes me want to listen to reggae music just looking at it! This drink was really fun to swirl with the straw too.. I mean, gotta mix up the flavors too you know!! 🙂
D bar drinks 😉 The Rastafarian drink looks like an ugly gray color after you mix the 3 colors together, but tastes way better! Has a refreshing sour tang-y taste to the drink that all ladies will love!
kobe sliders – house made brioche, drunken onions, white cheddar, aioli, garlic parmesan fries – Don’t let these cute, little bad boys fool you. THEY ARE DELICIOUS!! They are Kobe beef after all! I can tell from the deliciousness that these cows were massaged real good! 😉 And look so cute!!! So juicy.. And yes, again.. so cute to pop in your mouth! I love the cheese oozing out of that… <3
short rib hash – coca cola braised short ribs, breakfast potatoes, cheese & chive waffle, cream demi-glace, scrambled eggs – This was fun to eat! And you know why? Because..
We decided to make waffle sandwiches out of it!! How fun! And it was so yummy to eat too!
This place was so fun and relaxing to eat it! Perfect place to enjoy a break from the sunny sun in San Diego whiling walking the walks! The only thing about this cool and air-y restaurant is I wish they had kept the doors closed more cause flies snuck in!! Otherwise, I love this place!!! I can’t wait to try the one in the Denver location someday and maybe.. just maybe.. meet the chef himself? :O *gasps*
Happy Sunday everyone!! <3
