Ice cream and cupcakes are two of my most favorite desserts. One is sweet and freezing cold; the other is sweet and cute.. Now what happens when you combine the two! The fusion of food is endless in this era! ICE CREAM FILLED CUPCAKES!! 🙂 It may be a bit of a drive, but you can also do some outlet shopping right in the city! My Delight CupCakery in Ontario, CA is not your typical LA-located bakery like the other popular treats, but it’s worth the drive! This is a family-owned bakery that specializes in artisanal cupcakes in mini and regular sizes too!
I always appreciate a bakery that serves mini cupcakes! Although I feel like regular size cupcakes are more moist and not as dry, if you can deliver yummy mini cupcakes, props to you from me!! Plus, it’s easier to try more than one flavor before getting too full!

Breakfast cupcake: light and fluffy buttermilk-based cupcake loaded with bits of applewood smoked bacon, iced with a light and buttery maple frosting, topped with more bacon and drizzled with maple syrup. A classic favorite from this place!! One of the most ordered cupcakes that marry savory and sweet together!
Cookies’n Cream: decadent, rich and moist chocolate cupcake, topped with creamy vanilla frosting, and loaded with Newman-O’s, an organic type Oreo cookie
Coconut lemon: delicious and moist coconut cake filled with creamy lemon curd, topped with light meringue frosting and toasted coconut flakes
Strawberry cheesecake: made with real strawberries. Light and fresh strawberry cake topped with a smooth strawberry frosting
Key lime pie: pound cake stuffed with key lime pie filling, topped with a light and fluffy slightly toasted meringue frosting
Snicker doodle: Madagascar vanilla cake it’s cinnamon baked in, topped with a thin layer of Madagascar vanilla cinnamon butter cream, a freshly baked snicker doodle cookie, a dollop of more vanilla cinnamon butter cream, and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar
And now these ginormous cupcakes are larger than your average size cupcakes! Because they are filled with ice cream inside!!! Yes!!! We got the two more poplar flavors: fruity pebbles ice cream cupcake and s’mores cupcake!! I think the ingredients are self-explanatory but omg!!
Look at the inside of the fruity pebbles ice cream cupcake!! It’s like a big ball of ice cream in there and it tasted like fruity pebbles cereal!!! And the white, frosty whipped cream was made delicious topping to the ice cream! The s’mores tasted like the cold version of a hot and fresh s’mores cookie during a camping trip. Yummy!!
I would recommend this place to any indecisive person who can’t make up his or her mind as to whether he/she wants ice cream or cupcakes! Why not get both?! Problem solved 🙂
