You know the Vietnamese are known for their colorful, fresh, and healthy desserts called chè. Chè is a sweet Vietnamese dessert soup served over ice or served in coconut cream. It can also be in the form of a sweet beverage or a pudding or custard even! Toppings vary from kidney beans, mung beans, clear or glass jelly to fruit such as durian, longan, mango, and much more! Chè was originally the Vietnamese dessert to enjoy in the hot and summer days or any day for that matter. It was always that traditional Asian dessert that you eat out of a bowl. Until Bambu came along and showed us otherwise. Now you can drink your Vietnamese dessert on the go! Bambu Desserts and Drinks was founded by 4 Vietnamese sisters in San Jose, CA and has grown all over NorCal and made headway to SoCal. Not only does Bambu featured drinkable Vietnamese desserts, it also combines the everyone’s favorite Vietnamese Iced Coffee and unique boba drinks into one and more!
Left: Avo-Coffee Premium Smoothie – The thick and creamy avocado swirled with the strong, condensed taste of dark Vietnamese Ice Coffee turns it into dark chocolate flavors. Drink it like it is? You’ll get alternating flavors of avocado and coffee surprising in your taste buds.
Right: Taro Lover Dessert (taro, pandan jelly, coconut milk) – When you completely mix the drink, it turns into this light and creamy taro drink. I love the pandan jelly, which isn’t hard to suck out of your boba straw. Barely fits though! Although the pandan jelly is soft and chewy, it has an ever-so-slightly tough texture, which I like. Kind of like a hard chew. 😀
There are many, many, many more drinks you can try here that are all delicious and offer a wide range of tastes and flavors! Every time I come here I always try something new and different! You guys should too! 🙂
