Ahh! This place sounds funny! When I heard of this place years ago, I literally laughed. But what’s crazy is that their pies are good!! Mm.. from the savory to the sweet.. they have both! The variety of their flavorful pies opened my eyes to pies. Yes, PIES. The Pie Hole has multiple locations: Pasadena, Orange County, Hollywood, etc. etc. This pie shop has one mission and that is to bring happiness to all its customers one pie slice at a time. chicken and cornbread. Be careful: it’s super hot. The crust is perfectly hard and crunchy. But what about the inside?!
We cut it in half! It was delicious!!! Slightly on the salty side but all the savory flavors are right there! My favorite out of the three pies I chose today!
maple custard. This was very sweet and very good. It kind of reminds me of flan. This would be the Pie version of flan for me in terms of flavor, texture, and even color!
earl grey tea pie. One of their most sold pies and sometimes they even run out! This was very good! It tastes exactly like earl grey tea in fact! Have you guys ever tried the earl grey tea macarons from Bottega Louie? This pie tastes just like that.
Most of pies are personal sizes for you to buy, however, they do make the bigger traditional sizes of you wish to purchase for a family dinner or event!! I highly recommend this place for the upcoming Thanksgiving!
Not to mention, the Pasadena location is inside this hipster-decorated building hall with other businesses that sell other things too!
For instance, we were thirsty so we also got two juices from Pressed Juicery to eat with our pies! Many hipsters actually come here with their laptops and technological gadgets to work with while enjoying delicious pies on the side!
