Good mooorrnningg! I have great news! If you want to eat yummy breakfast/brunch with bottomless mimosas all day err’day (until 1530 that is), then hit up Colette in our local Pasadena area. Not to mention, you can skip having to wait an hour like all the other brunch places. Is it still good though? YES IT IS!! And at such a great deal too! For $20, you get bottomless mimosas AND a breakfast entree. 8am-3pm in all the days of the week that this place is open. Yes, yes, yes. How did I not find this place sooner? ๐ Some classy champagne mixed with healthy OJ is the way to go to start off your morning!
My friends and I went on a Wednesday afternoon because.. well.. we can! It looks empty, but for good reason. It was Wednesday afternoon!!! But thank you, I was able to get a clean shot for this one.
The bottomless mimosas took a while to get out so they treated us to some bottomless white wine while we wait. Nice, nice! ๐
The first entree is the breakfast sandwich; consisting of two eggs over hard, stacked with bacon, sharp cheddar, arugula & guajillo spread on a brioche bun. And served with a side of sweet potato hash. That sounds like a mouthful and it was a delicious mouthful! Anything on brioche bread is already a guarantee good for me. Think of this like a juicy breakfast burger on a butter bun. Yummmm.
Here is a snap of its tasty insides. ๐ I think you can see the runny yolk over the arugula and bacon. And that flaky brioche bun? *drools*
Now we have the carnitas breakfast burrito, which is a slow roasted carnitas burrito stuffed with a soft scrambled egg, cilantro, onions and avocado. I don’t think this picture does justice to how much MEAT that was stuffed inside this deceptively large (or small?) burrito!! There was just so much meat!! Just eating half was already more than full status for me.
We had to order a side of breakfast sausage for breakfast. Here it is.. all uniformly sliced up for us.
I think this is the dish that Colette is popularly known for: the churro french toast. It is sliced French bread sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. This probably looked the most plain out of all the entrees, but it tasted THE BEST. Hands down, simple wins! This was the perfect married combo of sweet churro taste and french toast consistency. Y-U-M-M-Y.
$20 for a breakfast entree and bottomless mimosas. SUPER CHEAP IMO. And especially when it goes all the way until 1530 too!! Who and where can beat this?! For yummy foods and good company, Colette definitely serves up to that level in both food and ambiance. Plenty of tables and plenty of space for big and small parties alike!
Eat breakfast/brunch here for this week! ๐ Well, I’m off to Portland, Oregon this very morning so stay tuned for some new eateries! YAY (:
