The following 10 places aren’t ranked in any particular order from least to best (except the last one because I think it is an obvious classic win). PLEASE DONT SCROLL JUST YET 🙂 It really depends on what you want! Boba? Tea? Sea salt cream? Healthy? Each location has their specialty.
I have been wanting to make this blog for so long now but due to the gradual decline of my boba visits (especially because I keep going to my same usual favorite over and over), it took a while for me to get pictures of my drinks. (I refuse to use others’ pictures)!
So let’s get started..
Tan-Cha. Here we have a “hot and new” that just opened up in the SGV and it is hot and new indeed. Their steaming popularity is growing quickly due to their cute cups with cute little accessories to go with. How can any girl resist in 626? Plus their boba is surprisingly sweet and chewy and their cheese foam and tiramisu puff cream options are what’s new and hyping.
Half and Half Tea House. With multiple chain locations in almost every city in 626, Half & Half quickly grew and still remains one of the best places for boba. Their honey boba can’t be competed with – they serve the best sweet and chewy boba balls hands down! Plus, their extra large and wide cups makes the volume of tea well paid for (although forget about fitting them in your car cup holders).
7 Leaves. Originally in the OC area, 7 Leaves has finally made debut in our Chinese-dominated city. And thank you for that!!! They’re lovedfor their Vietnamese drinks served with our Taiwanese boba. Yes, come try their lighter and sweeter version of Vietnamese iced coffee and don’t forget the greeb mung bean tea!
Le Arbre Tea House. Now if you’re feeling like being a bit healthier from all these sugar-infested drinks, you can find yourself some healthy hot tea at Le Arbre. They have a selection of flower mists with different health-promoting properties for the body. Here we have the Flower Mist 3, which increases metabolism and fat burning.
Tea Republic (Formerly called TBay). Now if you want the best sea salt cream or Hokkaido tea, come here. I have tried this same drink everywhere else and I wanna say, this place serves the best! Perfect amount of tea, milk and cream. Not too much, not too little. Not too thick or thin. Not too sweet or bland.
Tea Brick. Want a reusable plastic bottle to keep? Here they always serve their tea drinks in reusable plastic bottles! Environmentally- friendly and serves decent milky and fruity teas!
AU79 Tea House. Tired of the same black boba balls?? AU79 serves their chewy balls in PINK!! Tastes the same but it makes your drink look more fun!!!
Tpumps. Now if you want some freedom to get creative with your teas, Tpumps gives you a chance! You can choose up to 3 is their many chalkboard-ful of flavors and drink your own invention! Of course if you’re too scared to dare, they have their list of creations for you to pick off of too. Not to mention, their Pumpo size is the way to go! 😉
Labobatory. Started up by some local high school kids, this place is a success! Their teas are good; their bobas are perfectly chewy and sweet. What’s not to love?? Plus, they have their unique creations you got to give a shot!
Ten Ren’s Tea Time. And last but not least, it is Ten Ren’s! Which have been in 626 for .. I don’t know how long! But if you want the best brewed tea of ANY tea, come here. Their freshly brewed tea of any tea leaves you want is always boiled to perfection. Not to mention, they have their variety of sweets and fruities to dive into too!
Now I know there are always waves of new and newer and newest boba places popping up and about in 626 and I will admit I haven’t tried EVERY single boba shop, but I’ve tried as many and these are my go-to spots for whatever mood I’m feeling!
Until I can set foot in Taiwan to try the absolute best..
