Who better to take with me to try bae for the first time other than my boyfriend.. my sister!! Both of our boyfriends are out of town and who better to go with?! Let’s go with each other for now and avoid a jealous boyfriend after.. hehe. Little Tokyo in DTLA was recently blessed with a very catchy, very hipster, very cool and very mesmerizing dessert place called bae.
Let’s first walk into an aesthetically pleasing black and white themed dessert cafe with punny phrases and artsy designs and big smiles to greet.
YES. Not only does it serve delicious coffee, hand-pressed lemonade, sweet and smooth soft-serve and yummy desserts, bae is actually a perfect first place to take a new someone to! Or your boyfriend or husband or partner. The name is so catchy in itself, the atmosphere is so light, the drinks and desserts taste good, and let’s face it, we love anything instagrammable.
Let’s try their most popular hand-pressed lemonade called the baeberry (blackberry extract paired with sparkling, hand-pressed lemonade). Whaaat?! Even the name itself was so catchy!!! And you know what? It is not all hype. This lemonade lives up to its name. It was so sparkling, lightly sweet and strongly blackberry.
Here is the earlbae limited edition flavor! After the kind manager allowed us to sample all of their current soft-serve flavors, we just loved the earl grey. Loved it more than the traditional Mixed Feelings. Screw it! Top it on that black waffle cone for me please!!! And yes…..just as good. This ice cream is my new bae. HA. Get it?! Hence, the name of this place.

Everything lives up to this hype in person from the food to the drinks to the ice cream to the service to the furniture… I can go on and on. I will certainly be back to try their coffees and pastries too!!! And take more pictures! 😉
