Last night, I went to a yelp elite at 800 Woodfired Kitchen Pizza + Rotisserie in DTLA. This event allowed no plus ones and I learned that the events with no plus ones are actually the “better” ones (for the most part). It forces you to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people under the circumstances of delicious (and free…) food. 🙂

This pizza place reminds me of Pieology in terms of how you order and get served. You line up down this aisle and personalize your own pizza (in addition to whatever else you want to order), and sit down anywhere. Fancied and more classy but still the fast food concept. There’s also a bar!!

800 was very generous with what they were serving so I will just get right to it..

Perfect Caesar (lettuce gem lettuce, roasted garlic croutons, housemade dressing) and Spring Vegetable (Asian greens, ginger dressing, crunchy onions, snap peas, jicama, roasted red peppers, cucumbers, and avocados) salads

BBQ chicken pizza with smoked mozzarella, peppadews, red onions, cilantros.

This was my favorite pizza!! It’s the Tartufo pizza with Bianco with truffled pecorino, wild mushrooms, roasted garlic, arugula.

Grass-fed beef meatballs.Wood oven baked with tomatoes, wild oregano and parmigiano.

Stuffed peppers. Baby sweet peppers with Italian sausage, parmigiano and herbed breadcrumbs.

1/2 chicken plate with roasted potatoes, quinoa and Peruvian cilantro-jalapeño sauce.

What an edible and yummy gift bag!!!! Overall, I enjoyed the food and drinks a lot.. it was just so much!! Everyone at my table had enough to pack for leftovers too!!! (I always like that option…)

I can’t wait until the next yelp elite already! But first stop, let’s go to Japan first..
