Another successful #dineLA for the camera! ๐ Just now, I took my mother to Cattle & Claw located in the Sofitel Los Angeles Hotel right across from the Beverly Center. Cattle & Claw is a popup eatery that was just established very, very recently in 2018. It has a stealer dineLA lunch menu. For $15, you get a complimentary iced tea, 2 lobster tacos per person, and a dressed lobster roll with side salad per person. Dare tell me that is not a steal! ๐ And even better, it all tasted so good..
But first let’s talk about the scenery because this popup eatery doesn’t just only have a bang for your buck lunch menu.. It has one of the most beautiful gardens as an outdoor seating patio I have ever seen in a hotel restaurant in DTLA! I’ve posted a few pictures and there need no words to describe..
Oh lookie my mother here my mother waiting for me patiently while I take pictures of the ambiance.. ๐
This is their actual garden!
Okay, but realistically, we could not sit out there that long. I think within 5 minutes, LITERALLY, my mother and I started to sweat!! We asked if it were okay if we moved inside after taking a couple of pictures and selfies..
The inside isn’t as marvelous, but you can see their kitchen in the back!
Thank you for taking a picture of me Mommy <3
Can you tell I’m sweating and suffering in the heat?
So let’s cheers with our complimentary fruit iced teas as we sit inside in the beautiful AC room. Our waitress let us have the table right by the open double doors so that we could still enjoy the garden ambiance while being in the much cooler temperature.
Here are our appetizers: our lobster tacos. Each person gets two!
There were generous amounts of lobster chunks with a light salad of lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole. It was very refreshing and light to eat! I enjoyed the tacos very much.
Our entree round is a lobster roll with side salad for each of us. The lobster roll was was dressed in remoulade sauce and laid on top of a light tomato salad. The brioche roll was quite buttery and lightly crispy and crunchy with each bite. The lobster itself was refreshing and delicious. Again, even bigger and more lobster chunks in the roll to enjoy. The sauce wasn’t heavy, which I surprisingly enjoyed.
Just enjoying the casual Monday with my mommy! ๐ Happy dineLA!
Tip: Street parking is hard to find. Valey parking in the hotel itself is $8. Just park inside the Beverly Center parking structure across the street for $1 per hour for the first 4 hours and walk across! ๐
