#dineLA also reaches to Glendale in case you don’t already know.. Last night, my little sister and I went to Fish Time in Glendale to try their dineLA dinner menu. For $39 for TWO people (not the usual per person), you get to share: two fountain drinks, short rib tator tots, cajun spicy lobster roll, and lobster pasta.
For such a menu, I thought that this would be a semi-casual sit-down restaurant, but it’s not! It’s almost like a casual fast-food order your food, sit down anywhere, and get your foot. Or have it as take-out. The atmosphere is way too casual. I am surprised considering they serve uni pasta, lobster, sushi and lobster rolls. I was not used to this!
short rib tots: braised short rib, salsa, house made cheese sauce, pickled onion, cilantro and sour cream on top of the tator tots. This was so good and a huge heaping serving of it! The bowl was definitely bigger than what it looks in the picture and the camera angle definitely down sizes the whole dish! My sister and I were surprised by how much in quantity there was. The tots were perfectly crispy. There was a generous amount of cheese, which I always appreciate! The short rib was cooked with diced onion. Overall, I wasn’t really feeling or tasting much of the short rib. It was not the star of the show; the cheese was!
lobster roll: done in garlic butter and cajun spicy. Wow! I’ve never had a spicy lobster roll before and I feel like I have been missing out! I have always appreciated the generic buttery lobster roll, but adding a kick of spice is a whole ‘nother level! Especially the cajun! Why do Cajun and spicy go so well together?! There were generous amounts of lobster in the roll and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce definitely highlighted the butter brioche bun and the lobster itself..
I really enjoyed this lobster roll!
Beautiful, beautiful! I can’t get over the spicy and creamy Cajun sauce! And there was just so much lobster! So much lobster! Oh man I love lobster..
lobster pasta for two: spaghetti with lobster tomato sauce and sage. I feel like you can’t go wrong with the generic tomato seafood pasta sauce that goes with almost all seafood genre pasta. This was pretty generic and tasted good nevertheless. The pasta was done al dente and there was the usual lobster pieces in there! Yummy, but I think the lobster roll steals the show!
They served it into two bowls for us to share! Seriously, for just $39 split into two? This was more than enough of a meal for us!
