I am so sad this is our last day in New York!! I haven’t gotten to eat everything that I wanted to eat yet, but I think that when it comes to New York, it’s always going to be like that. There are just way too many foodie places to try and come back to! It’s impossible! The only way is to live here and I’m not willing to uproot my current home and move.
To start our morning off, we went to Maison Kaiser down the block to grab some breakfast. This is supposed to be a pretty big French bakery chain in New York. From the outside, it looks appetizing and nice.
They were giving out mini financiers as samples. These are mini French almond cakes that are so dense and sweet and chewy. They were actually really good.
For breakfast, we got a yogurt parfait, a smoked salmon sandwiches, a spinach and goat cheese quiche (right), and a frittata made out of eggs, asparagus, Parmesan, mushrooms and chives.
The frittata is like a thick layer of fried scrambled eggs. It was good and easy to eat.
The quiche was actually done pretty well. Very buttery and soft. There is a subtle goat smell and taste.
Then, for dessert from breakfast, we got some macarons and an apple tart. I’ve never had an apple tart before, but it is like a tart of sliced apples. Apparently, this is supposed to be eaten fresh and hot.
Then we went to watch the Aladdin broadway show! It was so good! My mom was dozing off in the beginning and I had to keep poking her. I didn’t want her to miss it! Paid some big bucks for this show haha 🙂
We did a lot today! In total we also went to the Hudson park and the High Line.
Right after the show, I was hungry!! We went to the first halal cart we saw and started to order!
Watching him grill and chop up my lamb.
My mom and I each ordered a lamb gyro sandwich.
Here is my lamb gyro with a few bites in. Gosh just look at how delicious this is. This is way better than the gyro I had the day before. There was more meat, more lettuce and more sauce. The meat was done better too. Why are the carts only this good at Times Square!!
I need to satisfy my $1 New York pizza craving!!!!!! It really is 99 cents and they literally are everywhere!!
2 slices of pizza for $2. Add a soda and it’s $2.50.
I’m enjoying my pizza slice. Thanks for the picture mommy.
Lamb and chicken over rice. This was even better and for the same price!!!!
Saw a boba place on the walk towards Hudson park called Moge Tee.
Cheese over rose oolong tea.
Their lids are built to be able to twist over like those Starbucks lids!
Then we walked many blocks to what was ranked #1 chocolates in the world called Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate. It was originated in New York and listed in Eater’s 2018 best chocolates in America. These are Marc Aumont‘s award winning chocolates.
They served six types of cheesecake macarons: original, mixed berry, pistachio, salted caramel, pumpkin spice and chocolate hazelnut. These cheesecake macarons were very rich and decadent and sweet. Very chewy.
Here are the beautiful chocolates.
These big egg pieces are actual pieces of chocolates handcrafted for Easter. They are $35 each and filled with a different marmalade.
Bon bons.
They gave out samples of salted caramel chocolates. They were so unbelievably good. Very smooth and very smooth… lol…
Dr. JoAnn bought a box of macarons and I bought a box of chocolates.
A dozen for $34.
A dozen of pre picked chocolates for $35. These include: gingerbread, mint, honey saffron, Belgian wheat beer, forbidden rice, kumaru, mango Aleppo passion fruit, raspberry vanilla black pepper, apricot Turkish tea, almond hazelnut vanilla, pumpkin sesame mole, and toasted corn and malt.
I got three apple yuzu bon bons for Dr. JoAnn, my mommy and I.
Cheers to a good New York trip!
Look at the layers.. so smooth. So delicate. Light tangyness from the yuzu and decadent sweetness from the apples and chocolate.
This is inside the original cheesecake macaron. There are little crumbs!
This is the inside of the almond hazelnut vanilla. Honestly all of these chocolates are soooooo good.

And now, intermission while the Hans are our getting ramen to bring back to the hotel. We’re babysitting the kids in the meantime!

Dr. Han and Dr. JoAnn brought us Totto Ramen back to the hotel! How sweet of them 🙂
2 char siu pork buns – tender char-siu pork, lettuce, mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce.
Chicken Paitan – original straight noodles in a house made chicken paitan soup topped with scallions, onions, nori, char siu and kikurage.
Miso Paitan – original wavy noodles in chicken paitan topped with finest Koji Miso and ground pork, half boiled egg, scallions, bean sprouts, onions and char siu.
The ramen was so good! Very al dente noodles and the broth was extremely creamy and chicken-y but not heavy. It did feel lighter and healthier yet still savory.
The pork bun was very good! This came from a healthier Japanese restaurant so they trimmed most of the fat. But nevertheless, the pork was tender and savory. Simple pork bun = yummy.
This was a good last meal 🙂 until next time New York, whenever that is..
