After traveling for almost a whole day, the 12 of us finally met up in Zadar, Croatia: my mommy and me, Vince and his parents, his cousins and their husbands and parents. It was already about 11pm Croatia time and almost everything was closed for dinner. Only bars were open. We took a few turns in the narrow streets in between buildings and ended up at Crazy Pizza.
Honestly, I’m in Croatia and I’m going to eat pizza?!?! Ugh! But there wasn’t much else and it was good! A lot of locals seem to drop by there and order pizza slices on the go. Each pizza slice is 1/4 of a whole pie. They’re huge!
We ordered three jumbo pizzas to share.
Vegetariana – tomato, cheese, mushrooms, pepper, corn, olive, origano. We had two pescatarians in the group so we had to order a veggie pizza. It was good and less salty than the others.
Crazy pizza – tomato, cheese, mushrooms, bacon, origano. This was pretty good but a little too salty because of the bacon. I like that the pizzas were very thin.
Capriciosa – tomato, ham, cheese, mushrooms, origano, olive. This was my favorite pizza. It wasn’t too salty and I always love mushrooms on my pizza.
They even hand out these pizza slice holders so you can hold your thick slice out straight without it sloping and bending. No under everyone was able to walk out holding those ginormous 1/4 slices in one hand.. and eat while walking!!
Off to bed, got an early and whole day tomorrow. Gotta wake up rise and shine to visit the first national park on the agenda!
