Sunmerry Bakery recently pumped out a bunch of these heavily savory & garlicky breads that they call Super Garlic Bread. For over the past week, I keep seeing post after post about this super garlic bread. One of them is a video on how they make it. They basically make a delicious round bread, cut into 4 slits, squeeze cream cheese in the center, drench the bread in garlic butter, pour MORE garlic butter on top and squeeze additional cream cheese at the top!
After seeing pictures for a whole week and people raving about this bread, I had gots to try it too! But you better get your super garlic bread early because they make limited amounts and sell out fast!
I went to the Temple City location. As soon as I set foot in, I knew exactly where the bread was because they designated a whole corner case of Super Garlic Bread already pre-packaged in its own plastic container.
There are also sticker signs that instruct to either microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds or to bake at 250F for 3 minutes. Let me tell you right now that if you’re gonna bake it, that’s not nearly hot enough nor long enough. I ended up baking it at 250 F for 10 minutes and it was warm, but not crazily melted or hot. I like my bread HOT & toasty usually. Next time, Imma break instructions and crank the heat up.
Let me tell you that this is heavily decadent. It is seriously so packed with garlic, it is insane! Even an hour later, my mouth still tasted of garlic. I feel that one bread can serve 4 people comfortably. You just need that quarter size nugget to satiate you because that is how much it is soaked in garlic, butter & cheese. Vince and I shared half and we were instantly full from it.
And this little piece of bread is $3 flat, no tax added.
I will definitely get more of this bread again for my mom to try. It is definitely a good appetizer treat that can be bite size if you share!
