LAST DAY IN EUROPE!!
This morning, we wanted to share a veal sausage hot dog for breakfast but they don’t start grilling the sausages until 11am. It was 8am. Instead, we sat at an Oscar Cafe for some coffee and pastries while we waited for our train.
I got a croissant and latte macchiato. The croissant wasn’t fresh and at room temperature. It was okay. Latte was just mediocre. I actually didn’t sip on all of it because we were taking the 10min train to the Lindt Chocolate Museum afterwards.
After having an enjoyable 3hr time at the Lindt Museum, we got a Veal sausage baguette to try. It was basically a baguette with a hole inside to stick with veal sausage in. He also added ketchup and mustard for us.
The veal sausage was so juicy!! I loved it.
For our last night, we ate at Simon’s Steakhouse, which was perfectly centered in the 3-way alley split of all restaurants. We had beautiful front row, outdoor seating.
Soft bread with red chimichurri, salt, and whipped butter. The bread was sooo fluffy and soft!! Red chimichurri was very hearty! I love the smoothness of the whipped butter!
Italian dry red wine Carmignano <<IL SASSO>> 2020. Cabernet. The wine was perfectly dry yet bright and sweet.
Lime-coconut soup with grilled prawns. This soup was soooo good! It reminded me of Thai food. The slight citrus from lime with the coconut milk.. the soup was milky. The grilled prawn was very big and cooked perfectly!
Bone-in rib-eye steak 200g. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, juicy and tender.
Grilled mushrooms. Huge! Almost like a steak mushroom! Slightly salted with a light bronze. Delicious.
Mashed potatoes. Every smooth and soft and creamy!!
And there goes the last night in Zurich and Europe! The last two weeks went by sooo fast after leaving Marseille. Where did the time go!!!!!!
