Today is teamLab PLANETS day!! I’ve been waiting for this museum since the last time I went to Japan but tickets were all sold out. It was such a magical and splendid experience. Refer to my IG stories for the videos. No words can explain and if you’ve gone, you know what I’m talking about!
Afterwards, on our way back we saw a C&C curry shop at the Nagatacho stop station and did a small food detour because we were starvingggg!
I got the Japanese curry with hamburger patty and potato croquette. Yes I know, I got a hamburger patty, but I wasn’t feeling anything fried and I did try one of the slices of my mom’s! She got the pork cutlet. It was good and crispy.
My hamburger patty was very juicy and savory actually I enjoyed it a lot. The rice was soft and chewy and plump. Curry was mildly spicy and tasty. The croquette was lightly crispy with soft mashed potato on the inside. Okay I lied, the potato croquette was fried but I meant I wanted soft meat! Haha!
After we got back to Shibuya, we walked around the Shibuya Crossing again and decided to drop by Excelsior Cafe for some drinks. We didn’t care about the name anymore. There weren’t many cafes and we stopped being picky. Wherever we see something, we’re just going to seize the moment and stop thinking too much about it.
My mom got the iced matcha latte and I got the iced hojicha latte. Mine was very good and had a deep roasted hojicha aroma and flavor. It was also very milky and my made slightly sweet. Perfect for me!
On our way back, I got boba.. I know.. I’m in Japan, but!!!! I’ve been eying Chun Shui Tang in the station near my hotel every time I pass by. If you’ve read my Taiwan blogs, you’ll know Chun Shui Tang was the inventor of boba!!!!! I had to try it to see if it were as good as in Taiwan since Seoul boba was just so good too.
My little cup was about $3 and it was pretty good! The tea with milky. The boba was slighter smaller in size, characteristic of this boba shop. The balls were soft and chewy. It was good! 🙂
For dinner, we went back to Uobei Revolving Sushi Bar per my mom’s request. She said she didn’t really get to enjoy it last time because she only had 4 dishes. She wasn’t that hungry. Well, this time we were opposites. I wasn’t mustering much of an appetite since I had just woken up from a nap, but she had a hearty one.
I started off with a miso soup, hoping something savory would spruce up my appetite. It was okay but I prefer the actual seaweed. I was not sure what these greens were.
Still a personal favorite! So fatty and satisfying!
For dessert, we each got a soft cream cone with snack on while walking around Shibuya Crossing. It was super creamy and almost tasted like it was made from condensed milk. The texture and milkiness of this cream was extra!! Sooo milky to another level. Milky and dense. The cone was also a special, buttery cookie.
Tomorrow is our last full day in Japan. A tiny sad but mostly homesick by now.
