Is it me or has it been getting HOT around here?! I thought it was just Vegas, but man, coming back to LA and I feel like the heat wave followed me!!! Making me crave those cold, icy treats!!! One place I instantly fell in love with is called Afters Ice Cream in Pasadena, CA. Of course, there are plenty of other locations too! Why?! True, they don’t have a lot of flavors, but the flavors that they DO have are GOOD and taste like how they’re supposed to taste! Vietnamese Iced Coffee?! Yes, it tastes like it and is pretty much the ice cream version of the drink! Jasmine Milk Tea? You bet! And many more!!!

But ever get sick of eating ice cream out of the cup or the cone? Even though I love waffle cones, sometimes something a little different makes a big difference! They serve their ice cream in milk buns! Glazed or not glazed.. I opted for glazed always! It’s pretty much like eating a donut with ice cream in the middle! Like a ice cream donut sandwich! Wow! So simple and so genius! These are easier to bite and eat than ice cream cookie sandwiches! What!!! What surprised me was how freshly fried the donuts were! Mine was warm! So imagine.. the soft, warm, glazed donut versus the ice-y cold, freezing ice cream! Woot! Love the contrast in heat! 🙂

see the oreos and cookie crisps peeking from inside?? Delicious!!!!! It was so good! And didn’t even melt that fast from the warm glazed bun! So good! My new favorite ice cream place! Despite how yummy all the other flavors are.. My go-to is still gonna be cookie monster ice cream! (I notice almost everyone orders the same ice cream flavor :D)

And please, if you guys aren’t out eating ice cream or some cold, yummy dessert to stay cool from within, please drink lots of water and stay hydrated! Let’s not drop like zombies from the heat stroke! :O Summer time has barely started! <3
