The only ice cream or whipped cream.. Wait what is it?! ..worth trying in Amsterdam, Netherlands is at a little place called Banketbakkerij van der Linde. I can’t even pronounce it correctly!!! But really.. what is it? Ice cream or whipped cream? Can you guys venture a guess from the picture??
Hmm.. It’s actually both!! Whoever could have thought of that? So brilliant.. Sure, it sounds like a massive invitation to get diabetes from eating it, but man.. is it so insanely good.. Soft, milky ice cream intermixed with whipped cream.. so that it becomes one.. Each spoon you take, you either get the divine mixture of the two that becomes this, this smooth creaminess.. or you get a spoonful where you can taste the different layers of the whipped cream and ice cream in both sides of your mouth..
Look at how crowded it gets outside! Must I add, this was also on a rainy day! Amsterdam weather is pretty crazy.. According to the locals, it rains a lot!! But here there are loads of people eating this divine dessert!
This is the choices you can have! Comes in 3 sizes in either a cup or a cone or in between two cookies! I prefer a cup over a cone but it’s good either way!
I know it doesn’t look like much, but believe me, this is one of those desserts that WILL surprise you in your mouth rather than love at first sight. Looks simple. But in many ways, simplicity tastes the best. ALSO, this dessert DOESN’T melt!! No matter what!! This ice cream does not melt. DOES NOT MELT. And when it’s been out for a while, you can taste the whipped cream part even more? I’m not sure how to explain it.. it doesn’t melt.. and it tastes so good.. 🙂 I LOVE ICE CREAM THAT DOESN’T MELT! Because I hate melted ice cream! <3
