It was a sad morning to be leaving Amsterdam. Our last meal of Dutch food was at the airport actually called Het Paleis. Despite the reputation of airport food, this cafe served good yet expensive food. Oh well. We were still in Amsterdam, but was already desperate for some of their Dutch veal croquettes called kroketten. (If you read my blog about Febo you would know what I was talking about). ๐
pomodori soep – pomodori tomato soup, croutons, basil oil. Because the boyfriend was sick. It was surprisingly good though! Very creamy, thick, hot and savory. It healed us!
Never heard of dripping basil oil on top of soup!
kroketten – two Dutch beef croquettes, rustique roll, honey mustard sauce. Delicious delicious! Oh I miss eating those beef croquettes! Very crunchy on the outside while housing the delicious, moist beam inside.
pulled pork, romaine lettuce, piccalilli made of pumpkin
I miss Amsterdam so much! Well, that concludes my blogs of all the ratings in Europe!! Just in time to right before my next trip to Denver, Colorado in a few weeks! Stay tuned! ๐
