Good morning guys!! I am so excited to introduce my very first official recipe on my foodie website! Now everyone knows that a good breakfast jump starts a good day right?! π But how many of us feel kinda lazy in the morning and want a quick fix, but at the same time healthy? Well, I’ve come to save the day! Here, I introduce a simple and healthy recipe for PANCAKES that taste so delicious, it’ll boggle your minds! :O (Not to mention, these pancakes are already sweet! So no need for honey or syrup for extra sweet sustenance! Yay!
All of these ingredients in this simple recipe are all healthy and are much needed for breakfast in my opinion! This is a protein-packed yummy pancake! (Yes, even the dark chocolate chips are healthy because DARK chocolate is healthy believe it or not!!! Furthermore, for those of you who are gym rats, I think you’ll love this recipe because not only is it protein-packed, but it is also low carb π – ORRR at least the healthy kind of carbs.. like the one with nutrients.. bananass.. BANANAAA BANANANANAAA <3

Serves: 8-10Β small pancakes
Total Calories Per Serving: 530 cal
Protein: 42g
Fat: 14g
Carb: 69g
Ingredients:
1) 2 medium-riped bananas
2) 2 medium eggs
3) 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
4) 1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
1) First, peel the bananas and break them off into small chunks in a mixing bowl. Smash the banana bits with a fork (or whatever weapon you desire ;)) until they turn into a mushy consistency.
2) Next, crack the raw eggs into the mashed bananas. Mix well with the fork. After the eggs have mixed well with the mashed bananas, add in that scoop of chocolate protein powder! Mix well.
3) Heat the griddle (or frying pan) over medium heat and add a tsp of extra virgin olive oil. Once warm, scoop up 2 tbsp of your pancake batter onto the frying pan. You can finally sprinkle some dark chocolate chips on!
4) Cook for 1-2 minutes (or until the bottom edge of your pancake batter turn into a light, golden brown). Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
5) And there ya go! Transfer your finished product onto a serving plate. Drizzle honey over your tower of pancakes if you choose to!
Tips:
- this recipe is designed for SMALL pancakes [that’s why I suggested 2 tbsp of pancake batter when you scoop it into the frying pan! My suggestion is to use a 1 tbsp measuring spoon when scooping it! Easier to control and count with π
- use a spatula when “flipping” these pancakes!
Bon Apetit! I hope you enjoy! π This IS, after all, a guilt-free breakfast! <3
What are some of the benefits to making this? First of all, this recipe uses as little ingredients as possible! Not to mention, all of these ingredients in here are healthy for you!
How? May you all ask! That’s fair enough. Here’s why in simple terms π
Chocolate Protein Powder: How many of you guys are gym rats?! We need to hit our protein intake right?! Protein is protein! And do you get sick of drinking the protein shakes 3-4 times a day?? (for the dudes at least). Most of the protein powder we buy nowadays are whey protein, which contains both casein and and whey! In particular, whey protein is considered a “complete” protein in which it contains all 9 amino acids necessary for life.
Banana: Out of all the fruits, I think bananas are the most easiest and convenient fruit to eat. You just need to peel and bite! Can eat them anywhere while doing anything! Great source of healthy carbs for all of you who need to hit that carb macro. It’s also high in fiber too in case you have trouble pooping π Not to mention all those micronutrients and antioxidants your body needs <3
Dark chocolate: Who says all sweets are unhealthy? There’s that misconception about chocolate, but hey, it’s not all true. DARK chocolate has many healthy benefits! Gradually over the years, I’ve learned to love dark chocolate more than all the others chocolates now! And not only because of it’s health benefits, but the taste and color too!Β For those of you who have high cholesterol, dark chocolate helps increase HDL (good fats) and lower LDL (bad fats) from our blood levels). This helps decrease the total cholesterol clogging our arteries overall. Dark chocolate also contains this bioactive compound called flavonol that is known to protect against damage caused by the sun!
Just a tad of education for you guys here! If you want to read more about them, I included hyperlinks on my sources! π Let’s not get too nerdy here..
